Traditional Steam Fairground
Hollycombe’s Edwardian Fairground takes us back to over 100 years ago, bringing the atmosphere of a larger steam fair to life.
The world's oldest haunted house is ever popular – but look out! What's that hiding in the dark...? You only need to look at the delight on the face's of visitors coming out of the exit to know that this Haunted Cottage is a lot of fun.
The Haunted House was built by Orton & Spooner about 1915, probably for Flora Collins. It then went to John Thomas Cooper, President of the London section of the Showman’s Guild, and then to ‘Pepper’ Biddell. It was acquired for Hollycombe in 1991 and is a popular attraction with its cleverly designed interior. It was restored and returned to the fairground in 2017.
